Katie grew up in Cheshire and attended Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College, where she studied A-Levels in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, alongside an AS in Further Maths and an Extended Project Qualification in History.

 

She went on to study BSc Physics at the University of Manchester, inspired by her passion for exploring the limitless nature of physics. Katie is fascinated by how the composition and functions of the universe can be understood through elegant and powerful theories, and she was proud to become the first person in her extended family to achieve a degree.

Determined to share her love of learning, Katie completed her PGCE in Physics with Maths at Manchester Metropolitan University, gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in December 2022. 

 

She has been teaching ever since and, in August 2025, became the very first Qualified Teacher to join Suppree Tuition. In her role, she not only tutors students but also plays a key part in staff development, using her expertise to support and mentor fellow tutors.

Outside of teaching, Katie is a qualified scuba diver and also enjoys baking and reading, hobbies that allow her to balance her adventurous side with creativity and relaxation.
